My Mission: Create a logo for a local non-profit organization.

My Solution: This was a project that was very dear to my heart. Rettland is a non-profit organization started by a friend, Colleen. Her daughter, Claire, has Rett Syndrome, a disorder of the nervous system. Rettland was founded to help children with Rett Syndrome be a part of a clinical trial (the first of it’s kind) to help cure Rett Syndrome. Colleen was describing how hard it is to “navigate” through Rett Syndrome, which made us think of a compass. Since the disorder only affects young girls, I decided to create a simplified compass with a heart at the center of it. The typeface chosen speaks to the lightheartedness of being a child.
